Our story

Sky Yalla started with a simple frustration: the places where money moves the most - matatu stages, supermarket tills and rent day - are usually the most chaotic. Cash disappears, M-Pesa messages get lost, and nobody has a clean, real-time picture of what is happening.

Instead of building yet another fancy app that needs data bundles and the latest smartphone, we chose a different path. We built around what already works for millions of Kenyans every day: USSD, Paybill and STK push.

Our products - TekeTeke, FlashPay and Capital Assets - all run on a shared wallet and payout engine. That means we can support different sectors without reinventing the wheel every time, and still keep things simple for the people using them.

Our vision

We see a future where matatu owners, SACCOs, shopkeepers and landlords all have clean, real-time views of their money without needing to become IT experts. A future where digital records match what is actually happening on the ground, and where cash-based sectors can access better financial products because their data finally makes sense.
